Do growers have a preferred water conditioner for hard water and/or low or high pH?

For hard water, I read that EDTA Chelates are used “sequester undesirable particles.” Not sure if there is an organic product like this, or something else that growers use.

For high pH, I think it’s easy enough to find acidifiers for the tank mix. I know AMS is used for conventional growers. There seem to be many organic options.

For low pH, I read that some salts, such as potassium acetate, potassium carbonate, and sodium hydroxide, are used. Again, I am not sure if there are organic products for this or if there is something else that growers use. Baking soda would, of course, be the DIY solution, but I have not idea if that works and/or its effects for mixes with biological inoculants.

These are filed under the heading, “Things I didn’t think about before because I’m not trying to be perfect, but now I am wondering if my sprays are effective!” 😉
