I wanted to send my thanks and feedback to our HON leaders. I know it has been a lot of work transferring HON to this new website, so thank you for your time and energy!
I have a couple pieces of hopefully constructive feedback. I realize, of course, that the website is a work in progress, like each of our orchards, and that the admin folks have many other projects taking their attention, especially during the growing season. So please take this post as my own 2 cents in hoping to help HON grow and improve.
The search function is rather hard to use now as the results seem to be full postings, rather than an indexed list. It makes it hard to scan the search results for the forum that I want to find. This seems similar to if you did a Google (or other search provider) search, and then had to scroll through entire websites in order, rather than a summarized list of Title, Author, Date, and Preview. I think the prior version of HON had a search function like this.
Related question, does the search function search the archived PDF’s?
And it seems there were sections of Michael’s old website that did not get transferred to this website. Several great reference pages, such as “Seasonal Checklist,” “Holistic Spray Ingredients,” etc. I am guess the decision was to shut down the old website server, and thus those URL’s do not work anymore. These would be great to be able to send newcomers to, or to remind myself of particular details.
Oh, another quick item, would people be interested in member signatures, to at least give climate zones or other relevant information? That seemed to be standard protocol in the old HON, but I do not see that option on the new HON forums.
Thank you again for your work!

-Email notifications for responses to a forum that you’ve posted to.
-Visual cues for when there are new forum posts when you are browsing (for ex., the forum used to put forum topics in *bold* when there was a new post, and that would go back to regular font when you’d read the forum).
-Messaging to other members via the HON forum. Thanks again for your work!
