Two part question on peach tree pruning:

    1. I have a peach tree (~5 years) that has spread quite a bit to the point where the center is probably more “open” than it needs to be. I’d like to reign the tree back and re-invigorate some new branches along the laterals. Any recommendations on timing or method here?

    2. Similar question to above, with a 2 yr peach tree. I do not love the branching structure on this guy. The first year heading back on the whip did not produce the scaffolds that I had hoped for. I’m considering an aggressive heading on this tree again. Is that recommended and when would you prune (now or wait until winter).

    Thanks!
